La trama comença amb una conversa entre uns pares
nobles anglesos
i la seva filla Sophie sobre el
seu futur, és a dir, que s’havia de casar aviat. Tot i que no havia de fer-ho,
la serventa va sentir la conversa i, més tard, ho va explicar tot a la seva
amiga, la mercadera, i aquesta li va parlar sobre el fill d’un noble espanyol
que també estava solter.
Mentrestant, els pares dels nobles espanyols tenien
la mateixa conversa amb el seu fill.
Tornant al regne anglès, la serventa va explicar
tota la conversa que havia tingut amb la seva amiga mercadera sobre el príncep
a la Sophie. Aquesta va enviar una carta al noi on li proposava que es veiessin.
El responsable de fer-li arribar la carta era un cavaller, però no va poder fer
la seva feina perquè Fernando, el pare noble espanyol, va ser el primer en
llegir-la, tot i que no era per a ell. L’Alejandro, quan finalment la va rebre,
va sentir molta curiositat i va decidir trobar-se amb la Sophie. Però, el pare
del noi, com que va sospitar de la invitació, va enviar a un dels seus homes
perquè els vigilés. Els fills dels nobles es van enamorar. El cavaller que els
espiava va informar a Fernando sobre això i li va facilitar informació sobre el
regne de la família de la Sophie. Quan Fernando va saber que provenia d’un
regne inferior al seu, no va acceptar la relació.
Sophie ho va contar tot als seus pares i els va
proposar d’anar a visitar la famíla del noi. Ells van trobar que era una bona
idea.
Un cop a Espanya, els van anar a veure a casa
seva. A diferència del pares de la Sophie, els pares de l’Alejandro continuaven
sense acceptar la relació dels joves, ja que el regne anglès era menys poderós.
Gràcies al servent que va interrompre la conversa
dient que era més important l’amor entre dos persones que la riquesa, la manera
de veure les coses del pare de l’Alejandro va semblar que havia canviat. Finalment,
va acceptar la relació i van poder posar data per a la boda.
El mateix dia del casament,
abans de la cerimònia, tothom estava molt neguitós, però il·lusionat. El secret
inesperat que guardava el noble Fernando era que havia preparat una poció
perquè es morís la futura esposa del seu fill, ja que en el fons la idea del
casament no li agradava gens.
Després de la cerimònia,
Fernando va deixar la poció dins d’un got preparada perquè Sophie se la begués,
però, per equivocació, se la va acabar bevent ell mateix i va morir a l’acte.
La gent va reaccionar pensant
que havia estat Philip, el pare de la Sophie, qui havia matat a Fernando. Així
que també el van matar. Això va provocar una gran guerra entre els dos regnes,
que va començar el mateix dia de la boda. Van haver-hi molts morts i ferits.
Aquesta guerra va durar
anys i anys, encara que, finalment, com quasi tot a la vida, es va acabar
solucionant.
INGLISH VERTION
The story started because an English family started a
conversation with her daughter, Sophie, about her future. Her parents wanted her
to get. The servant of the same family heard the conversation. Then the servant
went to talk with a friend, a merchant, and the friend said that in Spain there
was another son of the nobility and he was alone, without a couple. In the same
time, in Spain, the Spanish family spoke with their son about the same thing.
In the English kingdom, the servant explained to Sophie the
conversation with her friend, the merchant, that in Spain there was a noble son
alone. Sophia sent to Spain a letter to try to see this boy. A knight was the
responsible to send the letter in Spain. He couldn’t give the letter to the boy,
and the first person to read the letter was the father, Fernando. Finally,
Alejandro, the boy, read the teller. He felt a big curiosity and he decided to
meet the girl. But the father of the boy didn’t trust the letter and he sent
his own knight to see them. The two children were in love and the Spanish
knight said so to Fernando. Also he explained that the English family was not as
rich as them. When the boyfriend’s father knew it, he didn’t accept that his
son married with a noble person of an inferior level.
Sophia told everything in her house and her parents, Philip
and his wife, accepted. They were very excited and the decided to go to Spain.
When they arrived, they went to speak with the other family,
the father of Sophie’s boyfriend, Alejandro. Fernando didn’t want his son to
get married with a girl of inferior level. The Spanish servant stopped the
conversation and he said that the true love was more important than gold. The
servant convinced Alejandro’s father to change his mind. The two families put
one date to the wedding.
On the day of the wedding...
The fantastic day arrived, all the English people were very
excited and the Spanish people too. But Fernando, the father of Alejandro, had
a little but big and important secret. He had prepared a poison to kill the
future wife of his son, because he wanted to accept the love of his son and
Sophie, but deep down, he didn’t want such a thing.
After the wedding, Fernando poured his poison in the glass of
Sophia. Then he was very thirsty, he drank from Sophie’s glass and he died
immediately.
The people of Spain said that Philip had killed Fernando and
the people of the village killed him. After this surprise, one war started between
the Spanish people and the English people. A lot of people of two kingdoms
died. But in life almost everything finds the solution. Finally, the war
finished and all was ok.
